A rather stern warning from mother nature of the capability
of sand, wind and lack of fynbos acting in combination. The old Hout bay police station slowly being swallowed up
by the Godzilla of all sand dunes right here in Hout bay.
Testament to the power of the wind and the effects of an
awesome summer South Easter and vast amounts of sand
coming from Long Beach, through Hout Bay and
on the way to Sandy Bay.
Nice place to slope soar allula’s and other light slopies
on the wind facing side and have flown composite gliders
there in the teeth of a decent south wind.
The dune has a cute little name- Frankenstien-aka the Monster
2 for the price of 1
Suggest they move the car….. soonest
Could be somewhere in an Namibian ghost town-
rather surprisingly right in the middle of Cape Town.
