Warbirds over CT
While scrolling through the Springfield blog (Hi Dave!), I saw the post from John Barnes
and Paul in Scotland and the awesome photograph of the Spitfire over the lakes.
What a beautiful setting to throw something off!. Gotta get there!
Thanks for the nice commentary and yes I think we need to keep in mind
that we are really blessed on this particular piece of real estate with great slopes
and constant wind,…. and really need to keep it in mind when the weather is somewhat iffy
and the lift not so great…. that just being out there on the slope, so close to home, is a gift
that needs to be appreciated to the full!
So just to add to the Sea Fury (I want one debate), I scrolled through some of the older photies
on the toss website galleries, Toss.co.za, and came up with a few classic photies of war-birds in action.
1st off is Malcolm Riley’s rather impressive Impala, weighing in at somewhere around 7 kilos
and with a three meter wingspan, this beauty is a joy to see airborne and brings the whole show
to a standstill at places like Chappies, where people just stop and stare.
When all the war-birds including Carlo’s Sea Fury and Bobby Purnell’s Mustang
Damian Hinrichsen’s F8 Sabre and Dan Du Toit’s Messerschmidt are up at once,
it is going to be a really impressive sight. When are we going to have a war-bird day?
Just PSS and nothing else. Looking forward to that…
Have a look at Dave’s post at http://springfieldchickens.blogspot.com/ and enjoy.
