The Passing of PYE
A sad day for all who knew and spent time with this most lovable
of creatures, from here to guys all over the country that had the pleasure
of spending time with Pye on the slope.
Rest in piece Pye.
It’s with a heavy heart that I have to inform you of Pye’s Passing.
He lost his battle with lymphoma this morning.
In the end it was his heart that couldn’t take it anymore.
He was not just any dog and has touched many people’s hearts.
It was great that he was still able to go flying with me on Saturday and even attended the flying clubs AGM .
Not only was he involved with the slope flying fraternity but was a legendary
and larger than life character at Keerboom Park where he was know by all the regulars.
He never once showed aggression towards people but was known to put other dogs in their place if need be.
He was a good ambassador for the Boxer breed and won over the hearts of many who were scared of Boxers.
He was the inspiration for Pye Ball dog toys and was the chief quality controller
and enjoyed catching the toy while on the run.
Words can’t really explain what he meant to me but he has left me and others with a host of happy memories.
I guess that in the end you don’t have to live a long life to live a full one.
