That, that shalt remain nameless
OK, new spot flown on the weekend by Tossers and what a beaut!Has been flown before by Francois and mate not so long ago, so not entirely virgin territory.
Cant say where it is just yet but we are needing SAMAA clearance after the recci
before we can officially go there and will have to see what Parks has in store for us
re the usage, but what a rather nice spot on one of our most difficult winds.
Other than Alan finding a rather large tree in the landing zone with his glider
and having to take up a vertical integration exercise, stick throwing
and howling at the glider….
yours truly landing on the pathway with a bit of ensuing damage
and quite a few glider finding adventures for the lads
in the rather insanely thick woody area when you missed the landing zone
( did I mention Alan again…)
The landing is not easy, (is about the only drawback I can see), and will take quite a
bit of practice to get correct, as the bleeding pathway is all over the place
in a thoughtfully constructed zigzag configuration, rendering the glass ships
open to the odd bloody nose or two on some rather rustically constructed wooden steps. Ouch!.
But a bit of persistence should soon see the lads sorting out that issue.
In general an awesome day had by those that were there
and if all goes to plan this site could solve one of our headache wind directions
and has the most god given awesome scenery to boot.
Yup, Doesn’t get much prettier than this
Alan about to set off on his vertical integration exercise
and the glider is somewhat nicely perched in the top structures of that tree
Miss the landing zone and your fetching out of that lot…
all 6 foot or more in height and as thick as a bunch of thieves
