SW...SW...switch to North West already will you
Possibly trying to induce a bit of winter here, but these persistent South West days
need to change once in a while. For two weeks now we have ended up at
Kommetjie on light to modderate South West conditions.
True Autumn conditions have settled in and the raging frontal systems
have not yet really made landfall, so light and variable conditions are
the general note for the weekends at the moment. This too will change.
Still, conditions have been pretty decent and the Kommetjie slope
has done the usual no wind and plenty of lift trick,
and so we have found ourselves in short sleeves, in the sun and enjoying the days on the slope.
Not too shabby Nigel!
Sunday was one of the classics with light conditions, but frenzied combat took place all day.
Who was the critter who hid in the bush after collecting his BEE
and awaited a hapless low flying BEE in pursuit of Christo’s BEE,
and then hammered it out of the air from the ground with his BEE.
That’s how low we were flying in an attempt to nail each other into a bush…
Should have seen the pilot wet himself in shock at this sudden stop in events
and forward motion…. and then followed by the inevitable,
predictable and brilliant howls of laughter from all quarters.
Man, what fun, so darn good for the soul.
