Seasonal changing of the guard
Add some North Wester into the season and you have another one of those surprise weekends. The mornings are palpably darkening and there is a coolness in the air, having said that, there seems to be a heatwave forecast for the weekend. But there is no doubt that the seasonal swing has started and the darkening hours will soon be upon us and the North Westers will be a little less surprising.
Chris blasted into town from the big smoke (aka Johannesburg) and Ryan, Mally, Chris and myself had one awesome evening session up at Signals in really beautiful lift and did some awesome formation flying with the Aldij’s, the 3 meter Lanyu and other bits and bobs. Saturday delivered a light South Westerly day and the lads had an awesome time in the light lift with the Nyoni, with Brendan and Chris getting the cream of the crop. And Sunday was back to Signal Hill for the North Wester, although we had to wait for a good few hours for the Hang-gliders and para-gliders to clear as the wind was far too westerly for Chappies and we had to wait it out. In the end well worth the wait as conditions improved and we had some awesome combat 2 yards off the deck, giggling like girls – just the way we like it!
Marvin popped in to say farewell before jetting back overseas and we all wish him the very best from all at TOSS till we meet again!
