Freestyle Halfpipe Explained

The Freestyle Halfpipe is designed to test your skill at manoeuvre combinations while retaining energy and yet harnessing a difficulty level that allows you to score highly.

The Halfpipe is made up of 3 centre manoeuvres, and 4 turn around manoeuvres of your choice, based on the manoeuvres as listed, and will be scored by the K-Factors as attached to each manoeuvre.

In short:Enter the box to your first outside manoeuvre, be that a Stall Turn, Immelman, Half Cuban, whatever... as long as it is a turnaround manoeuvre.

Proceed back to the centre line for your 1st centre manoeuvre, be that a Vertical Eight, Loop, Outside Loop, whatever...

As long as it is a centre manoeuvre that start and ends in the same place, on the centre line.

Exit the centre manoeuvre to your next turnaround manoeuvre and so on.

For instance an Immelman turnaround manoeuvre could well lead to a Rolling Eight centre manoeuvre as you will be at the relevant height to do such a transition, as you are not required to drop to the base line on your end manoeuvres, if the relevant manoeuvre ends at a higher position.

Have fun, be creative and in the end be judged.
