FHERF and earth bound devices
What a wonderful day had by all at Fish Hoek Electric Radio Flyerson a peach perfect Sunday morning.
The wind played a really important part in simply failing to pitch at all
which is kind of a real bonus in this part of the world.
That allowed for a very well organized event to run
with everything from the smallest to the largest craft
that the field would host being flown on the day.
Alan spent a lot of time with his FPV quad copter
offering all and sundry a look through the lens,
while a bunch of TOSSers ripped up the track
with consistency, constantly being pushed by mates to try more
intigravity defying….or not …..tricks.
Food, drinks and music all on hand with some interesting
commentary being run as well.
Francoise from Southern Hobbies flew his fantastic
4 prop Hercules C130 with aplomb
and then showed a turbine start up on his jet
much to the glee of one and all.
Gus won the spot landing competition flying his shock flyer
and all in all it was a great day out on the field.
A huge thanks to one and all who organised the event
and to all who took part. Great fun, lets do it again soonest.
A early morning view of a perfect Sunday dawn from up a path
on the Chappies hillside
Great to see Alan Imrie out and about for the day
A great turnout on the day – well done guys
C130 just about to get of the earth
Lovely fly-by for this really impressive machine
Francoise gives a bit of a burn to the turbine –
a really impressive piece of modern RC technology
