Bowling a maiden over
After last weeks dismal performance, and days of howling south east trade windsthe weekend finally produced one of the oh so magical days.
Saturday came through with the most beautiful of spring days
with a moderate South Easter blowing.
Ryan, David and myself headed to the slope at about 9AM
to get the early bird/worm thing settled and mother nature then produced
one of those classic Red Hill days with just superb lift, smooth as silk.
Ryan had a very happy day with a successful maiden of his Aldij,
successful landing and then 2 successive flights without any damage to the new born.
Later in the day Damian, Dylan, Jeff, Christo and Arthur all arrived, and I decided to
quit the slope a bit later after 6 hours of beautiful slope soaring.
Sunday delivered much the same, with the wind strength quite a bit stronger,
but stable and pure as can be from the South East.
and so Mally, Steve, Schalk, Christo and Tim and others had an awesome day taking up the slackand flew themselves to a standstill before heading to Dixies.
So as the South Easter now hammers us again into submission during the week
we can only hope the weekend delivers more of the same exquisite slope soaring.
