Black Eagle Trophy PSS Festival is alive
The Black Eagle PSS Festival will be hosted by Two Oceans Slope Soarers.
The name of the event and spectacular floating trophy have their origins in our commitment to
making a donation from competition funds to the Percy Fitzpatrick Institute of African Ornithology
at the University of Cape Town, for the study and preservation of the endangered Black Eagle.
The Black Eagle is a precious part of our natural heritage and deserves to have the
conservation support of a group of slope soarers who share their airspace.
The Black Eagle Trophy itself will be the real prize at the event but there are three classes to enter,
based on just how serious you want to become within the PSS theme
ranging from the not so competitive Combat Class to the really competitive Expert Class.
There will be static judging slots, judged flying slots and general open flying sessions
with as many PSS gliders as possible in the air at the same time!
So there is something for everyone.
The entry form and a PDF outlining the classes and requirements for each class
will be available on the TOSS.CO.ZA website.
As usual the entry deposit into the TOSS bank account confirms your entry
and allows us to make plans for the weekend based on the number of entries.
Entry fee for the 2 day event is R 150-00 and entry is open to SAMAA members only.
Don’t miss this one, it’s going to be an awesome weekend!
