All hail Signals
What an amazing weekend of sloping. Don’t ask me where the members of the other club were,
but the TOSS guys pulled in in Signal Hill this weekend and had a blast all by themselves.
Saturday was wild and wooly, with 40km+ westerlies pelting the slope and in between running to the car to avoid the odd hail storm, we had incredible conditions and the lift was huge. Mally’s Aldij went ballistic, off the charts and even the Jug of Schalk flew awesome. Sunday delivered the same version, albeit sans the hail, rain and half the wind strength and was just one of those incredibly nice Westerly days up in the hill. Rained everywhere else, but Signals stayed open all day and Steve got in some great DS runs while Mally and Christo just caned the Aldij’s around.
To be fair, a few more lads did pitch towards the evening, but by then we were 4 hours to the good and ready for home. Thanks to Rob for borrowing me his plane for an hour and letting me have a run of the sticks in the Impala while my radio was in for repairs this weekend.
